VT State Contract news

Hello VT Interpreters!

Last January the State of Vermont solicited agencies and companies to compete for the State of Vermont Interpreting Contract. Last Thursday they announced Vancro Integrated Interpreting Services was awarded the opportunity. I am their VP of Interpreting Services.
I invite you to join a Zoom call with me March 13th at 12:00. I am happy to answer any of your questions. If you can not make it on the 13th. Please send me an email and we can find a time to talk 1:1.
A few things worth noting: Vancro IIS always follows Deaf person preference. We do not have a set rate but allow for interpreter autonomy (ex. lower rate for non-profits)
The only big change is that you will need to invoice to Vancro if your work is booked through us and for all state work. We do not have a finders fee model like VIRS had.
I should also mention that VCIL/VIRS elected not to compete for the bid. Vancro IIS will take over interpreter provision on March 17th – so there is not a lot of time.
I am honored and very excited to work with you all. I look forward to improving interpreter provision for the State and doing extensive outreach and education. Vancro will also plan to hire a Deaf referral specialist to partner in this work.
Please call me at 8022368409 or email me at cory.brunner@vancro.com
